So, I’m a chef and former (and future) restaurant owner and I love these pots. In fact, I bought all four of them.
One of the great things about them is what they’re made of: aluminum. This gives the pot the ability to evenly distribute and rapidly heat foods or liquid. This is why aluminum is very commonly found in professional kitchens. The other thing that makes these pots special is their shape. Instead of the typical sharp angles toward the bottom ,seen in most pots, these vessels are made with wide rounded bottoms that kind of pop out a bit, increasing the internal volume of the pot to a surprising capacity. Even the 7.4 qt option is deceptive, in that the pot will surprise with how much food it can cook. No matter the pot’s size, one can cook a lot of food at one time—or even a little.
Another great thing is deep frying. While I do have a fryolator, I have deep fried in these pots a few times now and am pretty impressed with how the oil holds the heat, meaning recovery time is pretty slim, so excellent.
I’d recommend them to any family member.
